🐾 Salon Manager & Content Lead — KubaLabs (Johannesburg)
KubaLabs is a growing pet grooming and lifestyle brand built around our three German Shepherds — Kuba, Storm, and Echo — with grooming, daycare, training, boarding, and a merch line, plus a fast-growing social media presence. We're looking for a hands-on, highly organised all-rounder to run our salon day-to-day and lead our content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
This is a hybrid role — part salon manager, part content creator, part personal assistant — ideal for someone who thrives switching between people, admin, and creative work in the same day.
What you'll be doing:
Running daily salon operations — bookings, staff supervision, client queries, stock, and cash-up
Filming and editing content: minimum 10 short-form videos + 1 long-form video per week, plus daily stories and carousel posts
Managing our online store — product uploads, orders, and deliveries
Acting as personal/business assistant — calendar, calls, supplier liaison
Helping care for our three resident dogs while on premises
Growing into route planning and logistics as we launch mobile grooming
Hours: Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00 (in-office), Sat 08:00–14:00 (WFH), with availability for occasional events and emergencies.
Compensation: Starting salary R17,000/month, with structured increases based on performance and tenure — growing to R23,000+/month within the first 6 months. On top of base salary:
Additional monthly increases as the online store and mobile grooming service launch
Discretionary performance/turnover-based bonuses
Revenue share on UGC brand deals
What we're looking for:
Experience in a supervisory, salon/retail, or office management role
Strong social media content creation and video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush, or similar)
Confident, professional, client-facing manner
Comfortable working with dogs in a salon environment
Own reliable transport and smartphone
Basic financial literacy (cash handling, records)
Driver's licence advantageous
