Business Outreach Officer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Outreach Officer.

The Business Outreach Officer will identify and engage local merchants, introduce them to the Yibe platform, and build long-term partnerships within neighborhood business communities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outreach via online and offline channels, organizing and supporting community-focused events, and coordinating onboarding activities for new merchants.

The role also involves gathering feedback from businesses, collaborating with internal teams to improve outreach strategies, and tracking outreach metrics and community growth.

Feed competitor intel, pricing feedback, and merchant pain points back to product and marketing

Keep your CRM accurate and up to date

Hit monthly and quarterly acquisition targets

Qualifications

• Strong Community Engagement and Community Outreach skills to build and maintain relationships with neighborhood businesses.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Event Management experience to plan, coordinate, and support merchant and community events.
• Research skills to identify outreach opportunities, understand merchant needs, and analyze local market trends.
• Experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within SME or local commerce environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet outreach and onboarding targets.
• Comfort with digital tools and platforms; familiarity with POS or business management systems is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Confident, personable communicator who's comfortable with face-to-face and cold outreach
• Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven, rejection doesn't slow you down
• Comfortable running a clear, confident software demo
• Willing to travel locally across Singapore for merchant visits
• Fluent English; Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil is a strong plus given Singapore's diverse merchant base

Nice to Have

• CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive)

• Background in SaaS, fintech, or POS/payments

• Startup or fast-paced, growth-stage experience
