The new team structure strengthens our ability to sustainably meet the evolving demands of the University, providing clearer professional disciplines, defined career pathways, and greater opportunities for progression. ** Responsibilities Ensure delivery of financial performance in partnership with the School in line with the University Financial Plan. You will influence decision-making, drive change and foster collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include stakeholder and budget management, financial planning, forecasting and year-end delivery, alongside training for budget holders. You will provide insightful financial reporting and analysis, including staffing, student numbers, Programme profitability and business cases, while ensuring robust controls, compliance, value for money and continuous process improvement. ** Person Specification Degree educated (or equivalent experience) with significant accounting expertise and strong financial management skills. You will be customer-focused, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, working independently with sound judgement. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and solve complex problems. A commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, governance, compliance and value for money is key.
