The opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to become a valued member of our dynamic team within the UK Support Function (UKSF). As a Business Support Officer (BSO) you will provide administrative and operational support to the UKSF Function Head as detailed below. The Role Will be based in our Stevenage office, however, flexibility to travel to other sites may occasionally be required. To provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to the UKSF Function Head and their 1st reports, to include, but not limited to: Complex diaries, extensive travel arrangements and expenses Create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and One Note accurately Organise meetings, annual team event, social events, team lunches, training days, participate when required and take and manage actions Liaising with MBDA UK Resourcing team to arrange interviews Organisation of monthly team briefs Maintain action logs Support Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) activities Act as a buddy for new starters within the Function Provide cover for UKSF Coordinators as and when required Maintaining and updating UKSF intranet pages Participation in UK Support Function initiatives and personal development initiatives Understanding and utilising MS Office and MBDA systems A high level of stakeholder engagement and managing/building relationships within the UKSF and across the business Strong communication skills These tasks may be varied and ad-hoc in scope What we're looking for from you: Experience in a similar Business /Admin Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events and travel arrangements Someone who can exhibit a high level of resilience, communication, organisation skills and attention to detail, which is key to the success in this role Someone who is forward thinking, who looks to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote) Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload effectively Someone who is an enthusiastic team player, that demonstrates integrity and maintains confidentiality Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description To develop to become the knowledge point of contact within the team Confident in building effective working relationships at all levels Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given MBDA is a leading defence organisation.
