We are hiring a Business Systems Lead to own the sales technology behind Lyft Ads. As the senior technical owner of the Lyft Ads CRM and commercial systems, you will lead solution design across Salesforce and the connected ad-sales stack and own the architecture for how ad deals move from opportunity through order management and billing. You will work alongside a team of Salesforce engineers and partner closely with Ads Sales, Sales Operations, Ad Operations, Finance, Legal, and the Media engineering teams. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows ad-sales operations and can build the systems that run them. Responsibilities: Own the Salesforce architecture for the ad-sales lifecycle, from lead sourcing and opportunity creation through Order Management System (OMS) integration, contract execution, delivery reconciliation, and billing. Identify problems and opportunities across the Ads sales technology stack and shape them into scoped, funded initiatives. Lead requirements with Ads Sales, Sales Operations, Ad Operations, Finance, and Legal partners, and translate them into functional and technical designs. Own the integrations that connect Salesforce to the ad-sales ecosystem, including order management and contract systems, the ad server, and billing, through middleware such as Workato or Boomi. Drive AI best practices across the Sales Technology team, modeling effective usage and ensuring all AI-generated output meets Lyft's standards for quality, security, and performance. Guide the evolution of the Ads CRM platform, including the media-specific data model (agency, advertiser, and brand hierarchies, insertion orders, and flights) and own the Ad Sales Technology roadmap . Lead contract lifecycle management for Ads, including intake automation and Salesforce integration. Remain hands-on across objects, flows, validation rules, Apex, and Lightning, and set the technical standard through design review, code review, and design documents that account for failure states, scalability, and supportability. Keep the Ads order-to-cash chain auditable through SOX compliance, segregation of duties across systems, data quality, and change management. Maintain platform reliability by monitoring performance, supporting incident resolution, leading postmortems, and driving automation. Partner with Ads and business leaders on prioritization, mentor the engineering team, and support hiring through interviews and calibrated recommendations. Brief Ads and Finance leadership on delivery status and the tradeoffs behind prioritization decisions. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of experience in a Salesforce-focused business systems, engineering, or analyst role, including 3+ years leading solution design and delivery. 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration, with at least one active Salesforce certification (for example, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Platform App Builder). 3+ years building custom Salesforce solutions with Apex and Lightning. Delivered 3 or more integrations between Salesforce and external order management, ad server, or billing systems using REST, platform events, or middleware such as Workato, Boomi, or MuleSoft. 2+ years providing technical direction to or leading a team of 3 or more engineers or analysts. Led end-to-end delivery of at least 2 large CRM or commercial-systems programs, from requirements through adoption. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and a proven track record of coaching teams on maintaining system understanding in an AI-first environment. Working knowledge of ad-sales operations, including quote-to-cash, insertion orders, and delivery-to-billing reconciliation. Nice to have: Salesforce Media Cloud or a media/advertising CRM data model; contract lifecycle management platforms (DocuSign, Ironclad); revenue and compliance controls (SOX); and familiarity with the broader ad-sales stack (order management, ad servers, and billing systems such as Zuora).
