Buyer

The Buyer will assist the Purchasing Manager with the coordination of inbound purchase orders from vendors. This position is responsible for all products and vendors assigned to them, as well as the coordination of the transportation of said items in a cost effective and timely manner. Responsibilities: Cultivate and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships Collaborate on inventory control strategies, including reviewing and eliminating obsolete materials Utilize data analysis to optimize inventory turnover and meet customer demands effectively Collaborate efficiently with internal departments to ensure seamless operations Undertake additional duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing or relevant business roles, preferably in a distribution environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills Experience with AS400 system preferred The perks of being a Bunzl team member don’t stop at being part of a great team or being valued as our #1 asset.
