How will you make an impact in this role? The specific job responsibilities will depend on the team you are selected to work on for a summer internship role. Broadly the role may entail some of the below listed responsibilities: Assist team in project management across various initiatives. Analyze data and propose growth opportunities to help businesses improve performance and operations. Build and track performance indicators to better understand customer behavior. Develop relationships with a variety of internal and external partners. Share and leverage best practices and provide consultancy to team. Manage end-to-end processes. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program focused on Business, Project Management, Operations Management, Economics, Marketing or a related field. Bachelor’s degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028. Extreme attention to detail and accuracy – strong sense of responsibility and accountability. Self-starter with an ability to navigate the organization and processes independently. Project management skills – ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize accordingly. Relationship building skills – enjoys working as part of a larger team and fostering relationships. Team player with an ability to support projects outside of immediate scope. Presentation skills – equally capable of creating presentation materials and presenting in front of peers and more senior leaders. Aptitude with Excel – e.g. formulas, pivot tables, macros. Preferred Qualifications Passion for marketing, product management, payments innovation, travel and dining industries and new technology trends. Ability to conceptualize and sell ideas. An independent thinker who’s organized, has excellent attention to detail, and can multi-task. Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills. Willing to take risks and share fresh perspectives. Be proficient with analytical and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
