Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Cantonese Interpreter. The Cantonese Interpreter will provide real-time interpretation between Cantonese and English during virtual calls, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication for clients and their customers. Daily tasks include listening carefully to spoken conversations, conveying messages clearly and neutrally, and adhering to industry and client-specific protocols, particularly in medical and legal contexts. The role involves preparing for calls by reviewing reference materials, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards, and documenting session details as required. The interpreter will collaborate with call center teams, participate in ongoing training, and use digital tools and platforms to manage schedules and call assignments.
Qualifications

• Strong Cantonese and English language proficiency, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Experience or training in interpretation, especially in remote or call center environments.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality in medical, legal, and business contexts.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools, call center software, and stable internet-based communication platforms.
• Effective time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume call settings.
• Professional customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting and collaborating with distributed teams.
• Relevant certification in interpretation or a related field is an advantage; prior experience in medical or legal interpretation is highly beneficial.
