This is considered an manager level position with 3+ years of experience in providing analytical expertise, data analysis, and technical report research to drive client satisfaction and company profitability WHAT YOU WILL DO This position resides in our Inventory and Geospatial Solutions department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Carbon analytics project management Forest product data research - such as timber volumes, availability, and industry competition Data analysis, inventory data processing, growth and yield, and modeling Harvest scheduling and Carbon Quantification Timberland investment due diligence analysis and modeling Data review and QAQC Assists with project proposals, scheduling, organization, and budgeting Drafts report narrative documents Assists with client communications Department project management Other duties as assigned WHO YOU ARE You are a supportive and reliable team member that engages in building a great team and work culture. Preferred Training and Skills Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry or related Forest Sciences, with graduate degree preferred Minimum of two years of experience in forest inventory and analysis Experience with forest inventory and analysis Experience with forest ESRI ArcMap 10.x GIS, AGOL and ArcGIS Pro software, and other GIS platforms Experienced in SQL, Python, and R database management and development WORK ENVIRONMENT At Steigerwaldt, we offer a Remote-Friendly Hybrid Work Model for our staff. Remote and hybrid working environments will be considered. The nature of this job will require frequent walking and standing - sometimes for long periods of time. The use of hands for repetitive grasping and fine manipulation is required. Must utilize hearing for discussions, telephone use, and background noise. While performing the essential functions of the job, one may occasionally bend, squat, reach above head, kneel, and push or pull. Some lifting or carrying may be required (up to 35 lbs). While performing this job, one will use a computer, tablet, and/or cell phone. This job will require independent decision-making skills. COMPENSATION Compensation commensurate with experience.
