About the Role

As a Card Operations Specialist I, you’ll help keep our members’ debit, credit, and ATM card services running smoothly. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to build your knowledge of card operations, electronic payments, and fraud prevention while providing accurate, timely support behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with branch and member service teams to resolve card-related needs and help ensure every transaction is handled securely and correctly.

What You'll Do

  • Process routine card servicing requests, including card orders, replacements, limits, and account maintenance.

  • Support daily card operations, including transaction review, basic reconciliations, and queue management.

  • Assist with card dispute intake and documentation while following established procedures.

  • Monitor transactions and escalate potential fraud, suspicious activity, or irregular transactions as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate card servicing records and documentation in accordance with internal procedures and controls.

  • Build knowledge of debit, credit, and ATM card products, payment technologies, card processing systems, and operational procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • 0–2 years of financial institution, card operations, payment processing, or related operational experience preferred.

  • Basic understanding of debit, credit, ATM cards, or electronic payments preferred.

  • Comfortable learning and working with core banking systems, card management platforms, fraud detection tools, and other business systems.

  • Microsoft Excel and reporting experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to follow established procedures, internal controls, and security requirements.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and service expectations.

  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and card processing rules.

  • Strong awareness of how accurate, secure card operations contribute to a positive member experience.

If you're hired, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
