Job Description - Cardiac Sonographer Intern (260007K3) Job Description Cardiac Sonographer Intern - ( 260007K3 ) Description A Brief Overview This position serves as a Cardiac Sonographer Intern who is a current student of an approved Echocardiography Program. The Cardiac Sonographer Intern will work in the echocardiography laboratory in the hospital setting with direct supervision from an appropriately credentialed Cardiac Sonographer. The Cardiac Sonographer Intern must be willing to learn all aspects of an echocardiographic exam, have a basic knowledge of cardiac pathology/echo equipment and perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
