Career Services Advisor – Help People Turn Training Into Careers

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Career Services Advisor, you’ll work directly with students and graduates to help them prepare for and secure employment in their chosen fields.
You will:
Coach students and graduates on job search strategies, resume development, and interview preparation
Provide one-on-one career guidance and ongoing support throughout the job search process
Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities for graduates
Assist with job placement efforts and track employment outcomes
Conduct workshops, career readiness sessions, and mock interviews
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and employment activity
Collaborate with Academic, Admissions, and Financial Aid teams to support student success
Participate in training and ongoing professional development
Minimum Requirements
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication, motivation, and relationship-building skills
Strong interpersonal skills in individual situations with both large and small groups
Effective presentation skills and strong customer service skills
Effective teamwork, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to provide job search and career development services.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.)
Preferred:
Minimum 2 years of sales or recruiting work experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in career services, recruiting, staffing, or workforce development
Knowledge of resume writing, interviewing, or job placement strategies
