Case Manager for Personal Injury

About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and organized Personal Injury Case Manager to join our client's legal team. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of their personal injury case — from the initial intake through settlement or trial preparation. You will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and clients to ensure every case moves forward efficiently and that clients feel informed and supported every step of the way. This is a fully remote, full-time position ideal for someone with a strong background in personal injury law, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with professionalism and compassion. Key Responsibilities Case Oversight & File Management Manage a caseload of active personal injury files from intake to resolution, ensuring all cases progress on schedule Open new client files and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the case management system Monitor case status regularly and proactively identify and resolve delays or missing documentation Track statutes of limitations, deadlines, and follow-up tasks for every active file Prepare case summaries, status reports, and updates for attorneys upon request Client Communication & Support Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them regularly informed of their case progress Conduct intake interviews with new clients to collect accident details, medical history, and insurance information Address client questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and clarity Educate clients on the personal injury process, what to expect at each stage, and what is needed from them Follow up with clients on outstanding items such as medical records, authorizations, or documentation Medical Records & Treatment Coordination Request, obtain, and organize medical records, bills, and liens from hospitals, clinics, and providers Monitor client treatment progress and ensure clients are actively receiving medical care Follow up with medical providers to obtain outstanding records or documentation Maintain a complete and organized medical chronology for each case Track outstanding medical bills and coordinate with lien holders as needed Insurance & Legal Coordination Open insurance claims and gather policy information for all relevant parties (liability and PIP/MedPay) Communicate with insurance adjusters to confirm coverage, request extensions, and provide updates Assist with gathering evidence: police reports, photos, witness statements, and property damage documentation Support the legal team in preparing cases for demand, mediation, or trial by ensuring all documentation is complete and organized Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals on case strategy and next steps Administrative & Operational Support Accurately log all case activity, communications, and updates in the case management system Draft and send correspondence to clients, providers, and insurance companies as directed Manage and prioritize a high-volume task list across multiple simultaneous cases Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to case management workflows What We Offer Fully remote position with a stable, full-time schedule Competitive compensation based on experience Supportive team environment with clear processes and expectations Opportunity to grow within the firm and take on expanded responsibilities PTO and other perks available
