The Role The Central Sales Group Specialist is responsible for managing group sales opportunities for a portfolio of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of group sales processes, Hyatt sales systems, and hospitality industry best practices. The Specialist manages inbound group inquiries from multiple lead sources, qualifies opportunities, prepares proposals, negotiates business, and provides exceptional client service throughout the sales cycle. Working closely with hotel teams, the Central Sales Specialist uses Envision and other sales technology to respond promptly to leads, align opportunities with each hotel's revenue strategy, and optimize conversion rates. Success in this role is measured by the ability to efficiently manage a high-volume sales pipeline while driving revenue growth and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Qualifications Experience Required: Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive client experiences in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients and hotel teams. Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and a high-volume sales pipeline. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing business needs. Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel sales, group sales, or comparable hospitality sales experience preferred. Proficiency with Hyatt sales systems and industry technology, including Envision, OPERA, Cvent, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and recommend effective solutions. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, hotels, and internal stakeholders. Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Previous Hyatt Group Selling experience Knowledge of hotel operations, group sales processes, and revenue management principles preferred The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing. This position is also eligible to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
