Is this job info correct?

Change.org is searching for an Elections Organizer for Change.vote , shaping experiences for voters and elected officials that increase clarity, trust, and participation in democracy. This role will involve managing recruitment, negotiation, and onboarding of both distribution and endorsing partners for Change.vote within their target market, including working with campus interns for distribution. You will report to our Partnerships Lead, Emily Jakobsen. As a key member of our Elections team, you’ll drive traffic to Change.vote through partnerships and campus interns, and recruit endorsers to submit their candidates of choice within the Change.vote ecosystem. Change.org is the world’s largest platform for democracy. At a time when dissatisfaction with democracy globally is at an all-time high, we’re investing heavily in using AI to build the most powerful tools in the world to give people greater voice, while bringing people across the political spectrum together to identify shared solutions. Our core petitions platform, used by more than 100 million people annually, is growing rapidly - and we are rebuilding it from the ground-up using new tools to turn anyone into a powerful civic leader on the issues they care about. Soon we will launch a new platform to identify the >80% of issues that most people agree on, locally and nationally, and to mobilize hundreds of millions of people to advocate for those common-ground solutions. Change.org is also building the most trusted, accessible, and transparent election information platform in the United States, Change.vote . In our 2025 pilot, thousands of voters used the app to explore their ballots, with high engagement, strong satisfaction, and a meaningful increase in voter confidence. Our goal for 2026 is bold: scale Change.vote to millions of voters nationwide. To realize this vision, we’re expanding the most talented team in the world at the intersection of technology and social impact - all focused every day on building healthier democracies globally. Key Outcomes: Identify and build relationships with civic, advocacy, and community organizations across target markets, mostly cities Build and manage distribution partnerships with civic organizations, nonprofits, and other non-partisan entities (e.g., corporations) across the state Map the local nonprofit landscape in each target market and prioritize organizations with existing voter engagement infrastructure Provide orgs with simple, ready-to-use distribution assets — flyers, social copy, email blurbs, QR codes — so adoption requires minimal lift on their end Coordinate distribution moments tied to their existing calendar: community events, service days, open enrollment periods, back-to-school nights, etc. Help recruit and fully manage campus representatives within your assigned markets with specific outreach goals Recruit organizations to contribute their endorsements and commentary to Change.vote Navigate each organization's approval process — often multiple stakeholders, sometimes state or national sign-off Get endorsement data into change.vote in whatever format the organization already uses (spreadsheet, PDF, or otherwise) Track outreach results and pipeline status in a specific CRM Provide feedback to the Change.vote Marketing Team about learnings throughout the cycle The most important core competencies for the role are: An existing network of civic or advocacy contacts; ideally local/field-level, not just statewide leadership Comfortable initiating cold outreach and closing relationships independently; Outreach volume will determine success in this role Experience managing volunteers or interns Can work independently and adapt tactics without needing a rigid script AI experience needed: fluent and increasingly strategic Nice to have: bilingual (English and Spanish) Target experience: At least two cycles of campaign or advocacy work, specifically in organizing, field, political, comms, or marketing (digital or otherwise) Interested? Great! Here's what you should know: This is a contract role based in San Francisco, and the hourly rate of pay is $51.63/hr. Our compensation philosophy is based on pay equity. All of our rates are determined before we launch a role – they are based on a predetermined pay scale, the level on that scale and the cost of labor for that location. We recognize that people assess their qualifications differently, and you may not meet every requirement listed. If you believe you could be successful in this role, we encourage you to apply. Change.org is an open platform designed to serve people across the full range of viewpoints. Effectively supporting that mission requires teams with a wide variety of experiences, skills, and perspectives, which we consider essential to our work. We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity [or expression], national origin, protected veteran status, disability, age, or any other status protected by law. We're committed to protecting your data. To learn more, please review our Change.org Job Applicant Privacy Policy. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities throughout our recruitment process. If you need assistance or an accommodation, please let your recruiter know. Change.org voluntarily collects limited demographic information for government reporting and to support our diversity and inclusion efforts. Providing this information is entirely optional and anonymous, and is not used in hiring decisions.
