Overview of position FEDITC is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity at our corporate headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Hybrid or on-site at FEDITC corporate headquarters, with the ability to travel as required. Approximately 25–40% travel to customer locations, industry conferences, and partner meetings. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret (Top Secret preferred) DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. Position Summary The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) serves as a member of FEDITC's Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for defining, executing, and overseeing the company's long-term strategic vision. The CSO leads enterprise growth strategy, market expansion, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, strategic partnerships, and innovation initiatives that position FEDITC as a premier provider of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, Engineering, and Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Federal Government. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Business Development, Capture, Operations, Contracts, and Human Resources leadership, the CSO ensures strategic initiatives are aligned with customer priorities, emerging technologies, market trends, and corporate growth objectives. The CSO develops and maintains the strategic roadmap that enables FEDITC to expand market share across the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Civilian Agencies, and emerging Federal markets. Essential Responsibilities Corporate Strategy Develop and execute FEDITC's multi-year corporate strategic plan. Establish annual strategic objectives and measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Identify emerging Federal priorities, technologies, and mission areas that align with corporate growth. Evaluate new business opportunities and recommend strategic investments. Conduct annual strategic planning sessions with executive leadership. Growth Strategy Lead enterprise growth initiatives including: Organic growth New market expansion Strategic account planning Portfolio diversification Contract vehicle strategy Geographic expansion Technology investments Develop strategies supporting growth in areas including: Cybersecurity Artificial Intelligence Zero Trust Cloud Modernization DevSecOps Digital Engineering Enterprise IT Data Analytics Mission Engineering Space Operations Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) Market Intelligence Establish an enterprise market intelligence capability by monitoring: Federal budgets Agency strategic plans Acquisition forecasts Competitor activity Technology trends Contract recompetes Emerging customer priorities Legislative initiatives impacting Federal IT Translate market intelligence into actionable corporate strategies. Business Development Support Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to: Identify strategic opportunities Prioritize target pursuits Evaluate bid/no-bid decisions Shape customer requirements Develop customer engagement strategies Expand strategic customer relationships Support executive customer engagement across Federal agencies. Strategic Partnerships Develop and maintain relationships with: OEM partners Cloud providers Technology vendors Small business partners Academic institutions Research organizations Industry associations Negotiate strategic teaming arrangements that improve competitive positioning. Innovation Leadership Champion innovation across the enterprise through: AI-enabled service delivery Process automation Digital transformation initiatives Internal technology modernization Emerging cybersecurity capabilities New service offerings Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Executive Leadership Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership by: Presenting strategic recommendations Providing market analysis Leading executive planning sessions Reporting corporate growth metrics Identifying enterprise risks Recommending mitigation strategies Corporate Performance Management Develop executive dashboards measuring: Strategic growth Revenue diversification Pipeline health Win rates Market penetration Customer satisfaction Innovation initiatives Strategic investment returns Leadership Responsibilities Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives. Mentor senior leaders on strategic planning and execution. Foster collaboration across Operations, Growth, Finance, HR, Contracts, and Technology organizations. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus. Represent FEDITC at executive-level meetings, conferences, and industry events. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within the Federal Government contracting industry. Minimum 10 years supporting DoD, DHS, Intelligence Community, or Civilian Federal agencies. Shipley Training Business Development Capture and Proposals Demonstrated experience leading enterprise strategic planning. Proven record of driving organizational growth. Strong understanding of Federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS). Experience supporting large unrestricted and small business contract pursuits. Excellent executive communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Executive leadership experience within a Federal contractor exceeding $100M annual revenue. Experience with mergers and acquisitions. Knowledge of GovCon financial metrics. Experience with strategic pricing. Master's degree (MBA, MPA, MS, or equivalent) preferred. Clearance Active Secret Clearance is required Top Secret Clearance is Preferred Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
