We are seeking a unique psychiatrist who thrives on solving complex clinical puzzles and thinks outside the box, ready to make a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of these teens and their families. Position Overview We are seeking a Part-Time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical consultation for our residents. Because this is a residential setting, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely, and collaborate with a dedicated team of therapists, nurses, and support staff. Status: Part-Time [10–15 hours/week] Schedule Requirement: 2 days of on-site presence per week, with occasional remote options and on-call availability as needed. Reports To: Medical Team / Executive Director Key Responsibilities 1. Clinical Assessment & Treatment Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for newly admitted adolescents. Formulate, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based psychopharmacological treatment plans. Provide ongoing medication management and education to staff, residents and their families/guardians regarding benefits, risks, and side effects. 2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to review patient progress and adjust care plans. Collaborate closely with residential therapists, nursing staff, and case managers to ensure a cohesive, holistic approach to treatment. Provide clinical guidance and consultation to floor staff on managing acute behavioral or emotional crises. 3. Documentation & Compliance Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in compliance with state licensing and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission/CARF). Assist in discharge planning to ensure a seamless transition of care back into the community. Qualifications Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Residency/Fellowship: Successful completion of a General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Colorado Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Active DEA registration and state controlled-substance license. Experience: Experience working in a residential, inpatient, or intensive outpatient (IOP/PHP) setting is preferred but not mandatory. Approach: Strong foundation in trauma-informed care and a collaborative, non-adversarial approach to adolescent mental health. Note: We are looking for a clinician who is not only technically brilliant but also excels at building trust with a traditionally skeptical teenage population.
