About The Role
We are seeking highly detail-oriented professionals who are native or near-native
Chinese speakers and fluent in English to join our team as Human Transcription Reviewers.
In this role, you will listen to recorded audio conversations in Chinese and review, correct, and validate AI-generated transcripts to ensure the highest levels of accuracy, grammar, punctuation, formatting, readability, and contextual correctness. You will also use English regularly, as project instructions, quality guidelines, and team communications are provided in English.
This is not a basic transcription position. We are looking for individuals with exceptional Chinese language skills who can identify errors, understand context, and ensure transcripts accurately reflect what was said.
The ideal candidate has a background in language studies, education, writing, editing, transcription, quality assurance, localization, translation, or similar language-intensive work.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to recorded audio conversations in Chinese and review AI-generated transcripts.
- Correct transcription errors, omissions, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and formatting issues.
- Ensure transcripts accurately reflect spoken content and intended meaning.
- Identify contextual, linguistic, and formatting errors that AI may miss.
- Verify Chinese characters, sentence structure, terminology, and proper word usage.
- Maintain high accuracy and quality standards.
- Follow project guidelines and transcription standards.
- Meet productivity and turnaround expectations while maintaining quality.
- Flag unclear audio, inconsistencies, language variations, or quality concerns for further review.
- Support ongoing quality improvement efforts and feedback processes.
Required Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese.
- Fluent or native-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Excellent Chinese grammar, vocabulary, character recognition, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong English reading comprehension skills.
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
- Ability to understand different Chinese accents, dialects, speech patterns, and conversational contexts.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment.
