Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients in the Information Technology (IT), Telecommunications, and Managed Services sector is looking for an experienced Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA) Engineering to support the deployment, tuning, and operation of enterprise network security infrastructure. The role will act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for Cisco SNA (formerly Stealthwatch) , ensuring continuous threat detection, traffic profiling, and behavioral baseline monitoring across enterprise network environments. Key Deliverables Configure, coordinate, and manage Cisco SNA infrastructure, including: Flow Collectors Flow Sensors Management Consoles Process and analyze diverse flow data types, including NetFlow, IPFIX, and sFlow , to maintain dynamic baselines of normal network behavior. Monitor network traffic and rapidly identify and prioritize security events, including: Lateral movement Data exfiltration Command-and-control (C2) traffic Integrate Cisco SNA data with Cisco XDR and/or third-party SIEM/SOAR platforms. Lead deep-dive forensic investigations into network anomalies and support root-cause analysis . Perform routine SNA health checks, capacity tracking, software upgrades, and system maintenance. Tune detection rules and policies to improve threat detection and suppress false positives. Monitor behavioral baselines and network analytics to identify abnormal or suspicious activity. Troubleshoot Cisco SNA infrastructure and resolve technical and security-related issues. Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and client teams to maintain secure and reliable enterprise environments. Maintain accurate technical documentation and change management records. Provide L2/L3 technical support and contribute to security operations activities as required. Requirements Ideal Profile 5+ years of experience in ICT/telecommunications, with a strong focus on enterprise network security operations . Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA) / Stealthwatch . Hands-on administration experience with Cisco security portfolio products, including: Cisco SNA / Stealthwatch Cisco ISE Cisco Firewalls Deep understanding of: TCP/IP Routing and switching protocols Network traffic analysis Network security principles Strong experience working with NetFlow, IPFIX, and sFlow . Experience with network threat detection, behavioral analytics, and anomaly detection . Experience integrating security analytics with Cisco XDR, SIEM, and SOAR platforms . Strong knowledge of lateral movement, data exfiltration, command-and-control traffic , and other network-based security threats. Experience conducting forensic investigations and root-cause analysis of network anomalies. Experience with system health checks, capacity tracking, software upgrades, and rule tuning. CCN5 / CCNA / CCNP or relevant Cisco security specialization credentials . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security analytics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
