Claims Handler - Fixed Term Contract Apply Now! Job Title: Claims Handler Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid 2 days a week. Salary: £27,600 – £29,000 DOE Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract About the role – We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience. As a Claims Handler, you’ll manage claims with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards our clients expect. What You’ll Be Doing – We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can bring the following experience and capabilities to our team: Skilled in resolving customer enquiries and complaints effectively, often at the first point of contact. Experience communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries, and delivering clear, accurate information. Ideally previous experience working in a claims handling environment, with a strong understanding of claims processes and customer needs. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in requesting, collating, analysing, and interpreting medical and other technical documentation. Confident working with numbers, with an intermediate level of numeracy to accurately calculate premiums, claim payments, and compile statistical or management data. Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound customer service calls in a fast-paced environment. About You- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships built on trust and the ability to challenge. Ability to perform well under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. Strong Stakeholder Management skills with excellent written English and strong verbal communication skills, delivering to a varied audience and in different mediums. Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word. Customer focus – the genuine desire to understand customer needs and respond in a customer focused manner, exceeding expectations where possible.
