Now Hiring: Cleaning Technician Lead Hand Location: Scarborough, New Market and surrounding Area Work Environment: On-site at various client locations (indoor/outdoor) Job Type: Full-Time Wage: ($22-$24 based on experience) Lead-Hand Duties include but not limited to: Assist in training/coaching new cleaning staff in proper techniques, safety protocols, and company policies. Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is functional and properly maintained. When necessary, serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and address any service-related concerns or escalations. Report to site and complete cleaning duties when necessary due to shorted handed/no shows. Cleaning duties include but not limited to: Sweep, mop and sanitize assigned areas. Clean and restock restrooms and high-touch surfaces. Pick up debris and empty garbage containers. Follow site-specific cleaning requirements. Vacuum carpets, runners, and regular maintenance on equipment. Responsible for site security: Alarm codes and keys. Maintain a safe, hygienic environment in line with safety protocols. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning. Supervisor experience considered an asset.. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Familiarity with workplace health and safety standards (e.g., WHMIS, OHSA). Experience in leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must be bondable (Criminal Record Check). Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid Ontario driver’s licence required and vehicle. Basic computer literacy (email, checklists, mobile apps) is an asset. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work while standing for extended periods .
