DESCRIPTION Our Factory of the Future Consulting team partners with manufacturers to develop automation strategies and identify opportunities for transformational improvement. We serve clients from Fortune 500 companies to privately held manufacturers across industries including Life Sciences, Renewable Energy, Mobility, Agriculture, Construction, Aerospace, and Industrial Products. Through on-site workshops and focused assessments, we identify and develop automation opportunities spanning Invio’s wider solution offering; AGVs, robotics, tooling, and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Our consultants collaborate closely with Invio’s design, engineering, estimating, and subject-matter experts to turn these opportunity concepts into practical, high-impact solutions. As a Client Development Executive within the Factory of the Future Consulting team, you will drive growth by building trusted relationships with manufacturers and identifying opportunities where automation can deliver meaningful business impact. You will engage with clients to understand their operational challenges and develop strategic opportunities across technologies. The role combines consultative selling, relationship development, and technical discovery to turn customer challenges into high-value projects and long-term partnerships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a Client Development Executive on the Factory of the Future Consulting team, you will be responsible for growing sales for our consulting services business unit. Your primary focus will be to devise and execute the growth strategy of the consulting offering in collaboration with Invio leadership. This candidate will be a strong business developer, with core responsibilities that include: Serve as a trusted advisor and executive thought-partner to customer leadership teams Devise and implement a marketing strategy to grow recognition of the offering in the marketplace, with specific activities that may include: Onboarding a marketing professional Creating and promoting digital content Digital advertising Speaking engagements Writing and publishing thought-leading content Representing Invio at trade shows and within professional organizations Expand Invio’s footprint within existing customer accounts Identify and source new accounts aligned with key strategic verticals (e.g., Medical Devices / Life Sciences, Renewables, Mobility, and Industrials) Lead internal teams in responding to RFPs and activities related to closing new business Collaborate with other leaders in the company to develop and implement an operating model to deliver on the sales goals Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or client development within manufacturing or automation. Understanding of automation technologies including AGVs, robotics, tooling, and Industry 4.0 solutions Proven ability to identify customer needs and develop high-value automation opportunities. Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills. Experience working with manufacturing, engineering, and operations stakeholders. Ability to collaborate with technical teams to develop and deliver customer solutions. Additional Information and attributes: Compensation for this role includes salary + commission, with heavy emphasis to be based on sales outcomes Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and facilitation skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s ERP and Salesforce system Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into action Willingness to travel within North America, up to 50% of the time Position is listed as Remote in the United States, preferably within proximity to a major airport. Opportunity for in-person at any Invio facility location (MI, IL, MN, NH). EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
