Agency: Octagon Job Function: Account Management and Growth Job Subfunction: Talent Representation Job Description: Position Summary: The principal responsibilities of this position include recruitment of new clients, retention of current clients, contract negotiations, career guidance and overall management for Octagon Football clients. Responsibilities and Duties: Recruit new clients and lead the negotiation of player contracts, at both the NCAA and NFL level; Manage current clients and provide skilled services to them; Generate new revenue for the football division; Respond promptly and professionally to client opportunities and/or needs; Liaise with client sponsors; Expand contacts, especially within the football industry; Travel as needed in the performance of job responsibilities; Other related duties as reasonably assigned. Required Qualifications: NFLPA Agent Certification; 3+ years of experience managing NFL players; Understanding of the NFL Salary Cap and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); Strong sales and marketing skills; Advanced negotiation skills; Expertise in providing solutions; Outstanding oral and written communication skills; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to use good business judgment and to make quick decisions in situations where discretion is required; Ability to work in a collaborative, team focused, environment; Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required; Ability to travel as needed.
