Remote-first, real autonomy, GV-backed. Build the future of construction. Chevron, Sound Transit, and The City of Ottawa already run on nPlan. Own those relationships—and grow them. Remote-first, real autonomy, GV-backed. Join nPlan — build the cities of the future We’re nPlan, a Series B startup backed by leading investors including GV (formerly Google Ventures), Chevron Technology Ventures (one of the largest owner-operators on the planet) and Suffolk Technologies (the global thought-leading contractor), showing the backing from the industry we serve. Our technology helps the world’s biggest construction projects make faster, more confident, data-driven decisions. By combining one of the world’s largest datasets of project plans with advanced machine learning, we forecast project outcomes and reduce risk — reshaping how major projects in construction and infrastructure get built. The Role We are looking for a Client Project Manager to join our Commercial team in the US, focused on owning and growing strategic client relationships. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring our customers achieve clear, ongoing value from nPlan. You’ll work closely with client organisations to coordinate successful engagements, align stakeholders, and ensure nPlan is embedded effectively across their teams. With an established base of key North American clients — including Chevron, Sound Transit and the City of Ottawa — your primary focus will be on client engagement, success, retention, and expansion, acting as the central point of ownership for each engagement. You’ll have real autonomy from day one, with the trust to manage priorities, shape client strategies, and collaborate internally to deliver outcomes that matter. This role is remote-first, with occasional travel within North America (approximately 3–5 times per year) and limited international travel for client or team meetings (1–2 times per year). What We’re Looking For We’re excited to hear from people who are motivated by ownership, collaboration, and delivering outcomes for customers. For this role, we’re looking for someone with: Experience in construction or infrastructure environments, including: At least 2 years in project management, project controls, or construction management, or 3+ years in construction technology or a related field A solid understanding of planning and scheduling concepts, sufficient to engage credibly with project teams. Strong communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels of an organisation. Experience supporting or leading process change initiatives, particularly where technology played a role. A customer-first mindset, with strong relationship-building skills and a focus on long-term partnerships Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively. Please include the word “crane” in your application. We care more about potential and drive than perfection. If you’re excited by what we’re building, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities This role exists to ensure customers consistently realise value from nPlan and choose to continue and expand their engagement with us. Client account ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring clarity, momentum, and satisfaction across the engagement lifecycle. Value delivery: Understand each customer’s goals and ensure nPlan is delivering against them, coordinating internally where needed to resolve issues or improve outcomes. Engagement and change management: Plan and manage onboarding, ongoing engagement, and renewal activity to ensure a seamless customer experience. Commercial support: Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand usage of nPlan, working with internal teams to support account growth. Stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships across client organisations, ensuring alignment and advocacy. Why You’ll Love Working Here Competitive salary of $120k-$150k OTE, along with generous equity — when nPlan succeeds, so do you. Flexible hours, remote-first. Generous holiday, private medical insurance, personal learning and development budget, enhanced family and sick leave, and more. Room to grow — we’re approaching 50 people and scaling fast. Guided by our values: Learn from Everything. Be Radically Truthful. Aim High, Run Fast. Our Culture We’re a curious, diverse, and mission-driven team united by a belief that better data can change how the world builds. We value openness, honesty, and diversity of thought — and believe the best ideas win, no matter where they come from. Expect openness, collaboration, and balance — plus plenty of social opportunities! Application Process Once you’ve applied, you will hear from us within a week. Interview stages typically include: A 30 minute intro chat A role-specific interview or assignment An interview focusing on our culture and values A final stage to test collaboration with our team (on-site or remote) We aim to complete the process within 3–4 weeks but can move faster if necessary. We want every candidate to have a positive experience — and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way. Accessibility & Inclusion We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you need adjustments during the hiring process, please let us know.
