About ATK Energy Group
ATK Energy Group is a woman-owned, family-operated company that brings a network of specialized utility and infrastructure companies together under one roof. Between them, they cover the full job, from the first line of a design to the last light restored after a storm. That includes engineering, project management, safety, siting, storm response, equipment rental, utility construction, and consulting.
The utility industry is under real pressure right now, with aging infrastructure, tighter schedules, bigger storms, and constant demand for a grid that stays reliable. Our people have spent decades in the field dealing with those exact challenges, and that experience shows in how we work. This is a place where field knowledge is respected and safety is built into everything we do.
About the Role
We are hiring a Client Solutions representative to help grow ATK's presence across the electric utility industry. Your job is to build genuine relationships with utilities and the people who serve them, understand what they are actually facing, and connect them to the right ATK solution, whether that is routine system work, a capital project, storm preparation, or a full restoration effort.
The best fit is someone who has done real work in this industry and can speak with clients as a peer.
The goal is straightforward. Become the trusted resource clients call first because you understand their world and bring real answers.
What You'll Do
Most of your time will go into building trust with the people who make decisions at utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, EPC firms, contractors, and industry organizations. You will develop new business through outreach, referrals, conferences, site visits, and a lot of careful listening.
When you are in front of a client, you will ask the right questions: what their reliability goals are, where their infrastructure needs attention, what their budgets and schedules look like, how they buy, and what they need when the weather turns. From there, you will work with our operating companies and technical leaders to put together a solution that actually fits.
You will help move opportunities forward through capability presentations, proposals, RFP responses, rate discussions, MSAs, and the other steps that turn a good conversation into a signed job. You will keep your pipeline accurate and current in the CRM, including account plans, meeting notes, opportunity stages, and next steps.
You will also represent ATK at conferences, association meetings, client events, and jobsite visits, and you will stay engaged with each opportunity from the first introduction through the handoff, so our internal teams understand exactly what was promised. When a major storm is on the way, you will support client communication and coordination before, during, and after.
Solutions You'll Represent
You will learn the full ATK platform and match it to what each client needs. That includes storm response and restoration, engineering, utility construction across transmission, distribution, and substations, independent oversight and QA/QC, project management, safety services, siting and permitting support, and the logistics and equipment that keep a project moving.
What We're Looking For
You have real experience somewhere in this world, whether that is electric utilities, power delivery, utility construction, engineering, storm restoration, infrastructure, or energy services. You know how to build relationships and advance complex opportunities when multiple stakeholders are involved. You can explain technical work in plain language and tie it back to what the client actually cares about.
You carry yourself professionally, you communicate and present clearly, and you listen well. You can manage a number of accounts, deadlines, and follow-ups without close supervision. Familiarity with CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and virtual meeting tools is a plus. You will need a valid driver's license and a genuine willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and field visits, along with some off-hours availability during storm season.
Nice to Have
Existing relationships with investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, municipal or public power organizations, or utility contractors are a strong plus. Working knowledge of transmission and distribution, substations, grid hardening, vegetation management, inspection, QA/QC, safety, or emergency response goes a long way. Experience with RFPs, proposals, vendor onboarding, MSAs, rate negotiations, or utility procurement is welcome as well. A degree in business, marketing, construction management, engineering, communications, or a related field is nice to have, though real experience counts just as much.
