Clinical Data Integrity Expert

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: 8pm to 5am (Philippines) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Clinical Data Integrity Expert improves performance by ensuring the complete capture of clinical data and provides guidance and serves as an escalation point for complex data discrepancies and quality metric issues requiring advanced review. This position provides expertise and guidance to team members to review patient charts and completes data mining, data analysis, and identify opportunities to ensure accurate and complete data within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Essential Job Functions This position provides subject matter expertise and guidance to team members while performing advanced clinical data analysis to support EMR data integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Improves quality performance by retrieving clinical patient information from external health information exchanges (e.g., CareEverywhere ) and abstracting relevant data into the EMR as needed. Utilizes quality measure non-adherent medical group patient lists, reviews patient charts, and gathers external health information to enter into the electronic health record to satisfy health maintenance alerts and clinical quality metrics. Investigates and obtains missing or incomplete patient data including patient screening scores for Epic entry. Serves as an escalation point for complex data discrepancies and quality metric issues requiring advanced review Leads in performance improvement activities, gathering, tracking and analyzing data to identify gaps and making recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with a centralized support team, perform duties working remotely with minimal supervision, and meet assigned productivity targets. Pilot workflows for new initiatives or processes and provides input . Licensing/Certification Clinical licensure in nursing or allied health discipline ( preferred ) Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing , or related medical field ( required ) Work Experience 3+ years of healthcare operations, clinical documentation review, medical group, payer, or related experience.
