We are seeking a dedicated and skilled pharmacist to join our team and work remotely from the states of Arizona (most preferred), Texas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Florida, or New York. The position involves various shifts ranging from 3 AM to 1 PM, with schedules running from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, supporting the PST time zone. The role focuses on providing clinical checks of Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for customers, ensuring they receive the medications they need conveniently and safely. Responsibilities Maintain comprehensive customer profiles including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications, including over-the-counter and home remedies. Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration, making therapy change recommendations to prescribers as needed. Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation systems, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and state-specific laws, maintaining thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions. Provide clinical support by answering clinical questions, providing guidance, and collaborating with healthcare team members. Document all healthcare team communications and investigate and resolve medication errors. Implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws and maintain required regulatory documentation. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support pharmacy operations across departments as needed. Essential Skills Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree. Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in the state of employment (additional licenses may be required). Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems. Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations. Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service. Work Environment The work environment involves supporting business operations in a remote setting, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining regulatory compliance. The role supports the PST time zone and requires adherence to operational protocols and procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
