Position Overview: The Clinical Programs Apprentice will join the Clinical Programs team to support OCHIN’s Builder Programs and member-facing clinical workgroups. This role will assist with program coordination, workgroup facilitation, communications, and member engagement activities while developing foundational skills in program management, healthcare operations, quality improvement, and clinical transformation efforts that support OCHIN members. Essential Functions: Support the coordination and execution of Clinical Program activities that advance program goals, member engagement, and organizational priorities. Assist with the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of member-facing clinical workgroups, builder programs, and other learning communities. Provide administrative and project coordination support, including meeting planning, communications, documentation, and follow-up activities. Collaborate with Clinical Programs, Clinical Informatics, and other cross-functional teams to support program implementation and continuous improvement efforts. Maintain program resources, tools, and documentation, including SharePoint sites, communications, and member-facing materials. Gather, organize, and communicate member feedback, program metrics, and improvement opportunities to support program effectiveness. Research and apply best practices, tools, and methodologies that enhance program operations and member experience. Develop knowledge and skills in quality improvement methodologies, including the Model for Improvement and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, while contributing to OCHIN's culture of continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, communications, education, project management, or a related field. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, especially with members in a virtual forum. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision-making, independent judgment or action. Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings . The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices. Work Location and Travel Requirements OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations.
