Spring Health is looking for a Clinical Research Scientist to join our Health Economics and Outcomes Research team. This role combines clinical research and scientific analysis with research program management, with approximately 50% of time focused on each. You will design and execute rigorous research, translate real-world clinical data into actionable insights, and help coordinate clinical study activities from protocol initiation through close-out. You will work closely with scientists and cross-functional partners, with guidance and support from research leadership on study operations, prioritization, risk management, and complex program decisions. This is a full-time position that is fully remote. What you'll do Publish novel, high impact academic research Conduct comprehensive program evaluation for tools and trainings implemented throughout our network of psychologists and psychiatrists Support development and maintenance of detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for clinical studies, with guidance from research leadership Track and report study progress against key milestones; identify risks or process gaps and escalate issues while supporting mitigation plans Coordinate cross-functional study timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to support on-time execution of clinical projects Support protocol adherence and compliance activities, including IRB submissions, financial tracking, and management of study protocols What success looks like in this role Research Output: Produce rigorous academic and applied research, including peer-reviewed publications, white papers, or internally-facing analyses Study Execution: Support achievement of key study milestones by maintaining clear plans, proactively surfacing risks, and coordinating follow-through across stakeholders Scientific Communication: Develop clear customer-facing and internal assets that translate research findings into compelling clinical or business insights What you'll bring Licensed mental health clinician, with PhD or PsyD in psychology or related field Track record of peer-reviewed academic research, including first-author publications Fluency in a statistical programming language (R, Python) Experience supporting clinical research studies or research programs, including coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional stakeholders Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams with appropriate guidance, prioritization, and escalation Initiative and ability to self-direct scientific work while collaborating effectively on program-management activities Nice to have: Professional experience working within mental health tech or employee benefits The target base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 , and is part of a competitive total rewards package including benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
