About the National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR) Telstra Health proudly delivers the National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR) on behalf of the Australian Government. The NCSR supports Australia’s national bowel, cervical and lung cancer screening programs. The NCSR provides a single electronic record for people participating in these programs, helping participants and healthcare providers manage screening information, reminders and follow-up. The Register helps connect people with the screening and follow-up they need, supporting participation and the early detection of cancer. About the role Use your clinical expertise to help shape safer digital healthcare. As a Clinical Safety Officer, you will work with clinicians, product teams and technology specialists to identify and manage clinical risks, influence product design, investigate safety issues, and ensure our digital health solutions deliver safe, effective and high-quality outcomes for patients, clinicians and communities. What you’ll be doing Manage day-to-day clinical safety activities for the National Cancer Screening Register. Identify and assess clinical risks across services, releases, workflows and changes. Work with clinical, product and technology teams to ensure clinical safety is considered when designing and delivering new solutions. Provide clinical input across requirements, design, testing, release and ongoing service delivery. Develop practical controls and actions to manage identified clinical risks. Triage clinical safety issues and contribute to incident reviews and improvement actions. Bring clinical safety expertise to new and evolving digital health initiatives. Assess clinical safety risks associated with AI-enabled features. Support clinical safety reporting, governance and regulatory requirements. About you Strong, relevant clinical experience in digital health, clinical safety, quality or risk. Strong understanding of current clinical practices, workflows and safety standards. Comfortable working across clinical, product and technology teams. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical discipline. Current unrestricted AHPRA registration, or equivalent professional registration. Clinical or health informatics experience or qualifications will be highly regarded.
