Is this job info correct?

Location: Remote (Poland)

Duration: 12 months (Contract with a high possibility of extension up to 18 months)

Working Hours: Full-time (Flexible hours with required core overlap with US Eastern Time, approx. 15:00 - 19:00 Polish time)

Our Client

Our client is a leading global organization in the MedTech sector, driving advanced technological innovation within medical devices and diagnostic healthcare ecosystems. Stepping away from traditional pharma frameworks, this business unit focuses heavily on digital transformation and scalable AI-assisted analytics workflows across international markets.

Role Overview

This is a dynamic, cross-therapeutic generalist opportunity for a Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a fully international Product Development team (operating across Poland, Italy, UK, USA, and Brazil). Moving beyond traditional, manual coding positions, you will act as the core clinical brain responsible for training, guiding, and governing a cutting-edge Clinical AI agent designed to map medical device SKUs to clinical procedures and diagnoses at scale. You will partner directly with Reference Data Leads and AI Engineering teams to iteratively improve workflows and handle complex edge cases requiring expert clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Agent Training & Governance: Translate deep clinical coding and medical billing knowledge into logic-driven AI workflows, training the model to connect Medical Device SKUs to Clinical Procedures and Relevant Diagnoses.
  • Cross-Therapeutic Evaluation: Provide broad, generalist clinical judgment across diverse medical device categories and diagnostics rather than focusing on a single medical franchise.
  • Edge-Case Adjudication: Evaluate and resolve complex "hard cases" where AI-assisted mapping requires intermediate human clinical validation.
  • Clinical Data Sign-off: Own the final clinical review, verification, and sign-off on published taxonomies and standard reference data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal technical squads, taxonomy architects, and AI developers to optimize platform accuracy and scale operational productivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven hands-on experience in Clinical Coding, Medical Billing, Procedure Coding, and Diagnosis Coding.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid expertise within MedTech, Medical Devices, or Diagnostic systems (clear distinction from pharmaceuticals).
  • Coding Standards: Advanced proficiency with US procedure and diagnosis coding systems, specifically CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and familiarity with ICD-9.
  • AI Mindset: High level of curiosity regarding AI technologies, an open-to-learning attitude, and a strong drive to leverage automated agent tools for productivity.
  • Global Overlap: Ability to accommodate 4–5 hours of daily team overlap with US Eastern Time (typically 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM CET).
  • Language: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) to effectively collaborate in a global team setup.
