Description About the Team: Sound Advisory Services provides high-quality concurrent and secondary case reviews and advisory services to hospital partners nationwide. Our unique approach includes both remote advisory services and the option for an onsite medical director of advisory services. About the Role: The Clinical Support Manager is responsible for creating, driving and supporting new workflow and processes – clinical and technological – for clients and Sound physician advisors as part of Sound ASSURE. When on shift, this individual will serve as the business leader and point-of-contact for clients and physicians. The Details: Candidates located in and/or able to work in Central or Eastern time zone preferred. Schedule: Friday – Sunday: 7:00am to 5pm Admin Day Thursday: 8am to 1pm. Schedule can fluctuate as staffing requires, and may become 10-hour shift Will be in holiday rotation. Rotation is scheduled >1 year in advance for planning purposes In this role, you will be responsible for: Continually evaluating processes, tools (Sound Connect, Advisor Connect, and client EMR’s), and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement Serving as a point of contact for physician advisors and clients (e.g., issues related to clinical processes and triage for other potential issues related to physician advisor case review or hospitalist teams) Triaging case review requests to determine which cases need be sent for secondary review by the physician advisors Independently maintaining EMR Accesses and communicating to appropriate team members for support when issues arise Preparing PDF extracts of key components of the EMR needed for physician advisor case review Resolving issues preventing physician advisors from completing cases such as missing information, questions for case managers or hospital partner physicians, EMR access issues, etc. Monitoring and triaging case requests to ensure target case completion deadlines are achieved Assisting Clinical Support Manager when needed to supply data for analysis in order to prepare reports for Senior Leadership Team Facilitating and completing workflows for all potential opportunities related, but not limited to, observation and short stay patient Reviewing hospitalist patient lists for observation and short stay cases Reviewing patient medical record for needed information Creating cases in internal software Communicating with Hospitalist Team of any status changes that need to be made Documenting all steps in internal software Assisting in creating, coordinating and standardizing communication efforts between Sound hospitalist and Sound Physician Advisors as necessary General office work (data entry, forms, etc.) Completing additional special projects as assigned What we are looking for: A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of a combination of these values, knowledge, and experience: Values : Resourceful : Proactive willingness to utilize available information and tools to figure things out Adaptable : Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to change as circumstances evolve Collaborative : Demonstrates the ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal and get the work done; takes opinions of others into consideration; includes others in the decision-making process Intellectually curious: Demonstrates a genuine interest in learning new things and wants to know the reason “why” behind the way things are done Passionate : Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for and excitement about the work; gets others excited about work or projects they're involved in and working on Strategic thinker: Demonstrates the ability to look at the big picture and proactively develop a plan of action Teamwork: Demonstrates the ability to pull people together into highly effective teams along with ability to work in a highly matrixed organization Communication: The ability to speak, write, and listen clearly and consistently Knowledge : Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or LPN certification preferred or related field Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint skills Experience: 3+ years of experience in case management in emergency or acute care setting Strong clinical knowledge and experience in the Acute Care Hospital setting (Critical Care, Emergency Department, and/or Case Management experience is helpful) Ability to assess patient’s clinical status for admissions, observation or discharge Ability to assess patient’s clinical status Proficient with electronic medical record systems Salary Range This position offers an annual salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, as well as a bonus opportunity outside of base pay. Exact salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, education and geographic location.
