At Lucet, your work will directly support our mission to improve behavioral, physical, and social health—one member at a time. What You Will Do - Essential Functions The Clinical Response Clinician provides excellent clinical customer service, utilization management support, and operational guidance to members, families, providers, and internal teams. This completing authorization requests, conducting clinical telephonic screenings, supporting member crisis calls, facilitating referrals to behavioral health, EAP, and community resources, promoting care transitions and discharge planning, addressing routine inquiries, and maintaining thorough documentation. Clinical Response Clinician is expected to demonstrate clinical expertise in medical necessity criteria, health plan and EAP nuances, member crisis support, and Lucet policies, procedures, and quick reference guides. This position may require holiday work due to supporting a 24/7/365 call center model. Clinical Care & Member Support Utilizes clinical expertise in behavioral health, including assessment, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, utilization review, and care recommendations to support members across a wide range of mental health and substance use needs. Collaborates with members, families, providers, and physician consultants to coordinate care, facilitate access to services, educate on benefits and resources, and ensure appropriate treatment and authorization outcomes. Clinical Excellence & Collaboration Delivers high-quality member support by collaborating across clinical and customer service teams, utilizing approved tools and resources, and staying current on behavioral health benefits, technology, and community services. Contributes to organizational success through ongoing professional development, participation in meetings and special projects, and maintaining flexibility to assist teammates in both routine and urgent situations. Compliance, Documentation & Professional Development Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and contractual guidelines. Supports ongoing member and provider engagement through follow-up outreach, while maintaining professional competency through continuing education and required licensure/certification renewal. Who You Are Required Qualifications A current, unrestricted independently license issued by a state or territory of the United States as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse. Minimum of two (2) years of direct clinical care experience with patients in facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment Proven written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, demonstrated willingness to work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Strong clinical skills Strong computer and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Outlook and Word), including the ability to document while simultaneously while taking information over the phone This position may support a federal contract with the United States Postal Service. which has specific requirements for all candidates which include: Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen, which includes marijuana regardless of state legalization. The ability to undergo a Public Trust background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication. US Citizenship for at least 5 years. A current state license or state certification to practice as a mental health practitioner (e.g., social worker, clinical psychologist, marriage and family counselor and professional counselor) in the state(s) where practice takes place. If such licensure/certification is not available in that state, the individual will hold appropriate certification from a recognized national certification organization or board. Working Conditions High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting) required. Frequent use of computer and phone systems Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary, sitting position, communicate and exchange information with others, inspect information, perform repetitive motions with arms and fingers, interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, organize and plan, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in all situations. Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary. A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls. This role requires working from a fixed, designated workspace in your home and does not allow flexibility in work locations even within the home. A hardwired internet connection is required along with ability to sit for extended periods using company-issued wired headsets and desktop equipment.
