We are seeking for Cloud Engineer Position

Position Details:

Job Type: 6 Months extendable contract with our client (payroll Avensys)

Location: Remote

Timings : UK Shift

Yrs of Exp: 8+ years of relevant experience

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end optimization, architecture, and operation of the Fortescue cloud platform. You will design, build, and improve cloud-native solutions that make our systems simpler, faster, more secure, and cost-effective.

You will work hands-on across AWS and Azure (and occasionally GCP) to deliver robust cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform capabilities

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Architecture

• Design, build, and optimise cloud architectures with strong focus on security, performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the implementation of cloud-native and serverless solutions aligned to best practices and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and platform tooling.

Operations, Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Drive operational excellence across security, observability, capacity management, and financial optimisation.

About You (Skills & Experience)

• Extensive hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud engineering fundamentals, DevOps practices, and automation.
• Experience designing and implementing secure cloud architectures (IAM, networking, data protection, encryption).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor others.
• Solid experience in networking fundamentals and cloud networking (highly desirable).
