Cloud Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and data platforms across AWS environments.

This role combines AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, Databricks, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Security, and Operations, working closely with engineering and data teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud environments.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage secure, scalable AWS Multi-Account environments.
• Configure AWS networking including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route53, Direct Connect, VPNs, NACLs, and Security Groups.
• Support on-premises to AWS migrations and ongoing infrastructure updates.
• Deploy and manage Databricks Workspaces and Clusters across multiple AWS environments.
• Optimize Databricks environments for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Integrate Databricks with S3 and RDS and implement Unity Catalog for data governance.
• Develop reusable and modular infrastructure using Terraform and manage remote state securely.
• Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automate AWS and Databricks deployments.
• Implement IAM roles and policies following least-privilege principles.
• Monitor infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch and Prometheus, configure alerts, and troubleshoot networking, deployments, and data pipeline issues.

🛠️ Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS, including multi-account architectures and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience administering Databricks, including Workspaces, Clusters, and Unity Catalog.
• Expert-level experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience building and managing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPC peering, and routing tables.
• Experience with AWS networking, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53, VPN, and Direct Connect.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Experience with IAM, CloudWatch, and Prometheus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, cloud infrastructure, deployments, and data pipelines.
