Job Purpose: The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer provides hands-on engineering, implementation, and operational support for the organization’s global cloud and network infrastructure. Working under the direction of the Head of Cloud & Networks, the role is responsible for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and network technologies (WAN, LAN, SDWAN, firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network security controls). The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer ensures that all cloud and network services are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with corporate standards and policies derived from the enterprise cloud and network strategy. Duties: Implement, configure, and support enterprise cloud technologies including AWS, Google Cloud, and related networking components. Support network technologies including switching, routing, firewalls, SDWAN, wireless, VPN, and network segmentation. Perform hands-on administration of cloud networking (VPCs, security groups, routing tables) and AT&T/DXC-managed SDWAN, MPLS, WAN circuits, and global connectivity services. Execute cloud and network changes, upgrades, and maintenance windows following established change management processes. Respond to incidents, analyze root causes, perform remediation, and drive continuous improvement of cloud and network reliability. Deploy and maintain DNS, DHCP, IP address management (IPAM), NAC, perimeter firewalls, and zero-trust network components. Support architecture initiatives by contributing technical input, validating designs, and completing implementation tasks. Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and security posture using enterprise tools and dashboards. Produce technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures. Ensure all work aligns with security controls, audit requirements, and corporate IT governance. Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent hands‑on experience. Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet NSE, AWS Networking Specialty). Knowledge Strong understanding of enterprise cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud) including VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudFormation/Terraform. Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, security groups, routing). Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SDWAN, routing, switching, and wireless architectures. Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), VPN, and network security concepts. Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, IPAM platforms and zero-trust methodologies. Experience supporting global network environments, carrier circuits, and telecom services (AT&T/DXC or similar). Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO27001, SOC2) Skills Strong troubleshooting expertise across network layers (L1–L7). Ability to interpret network architectures, diagrams, and technical documentation. Effective communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
