Why You’ll Love Working Here We are looking for a high-performance Cloud Native Developer to design and build scalable, resilient, event-driven applications on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on microservices architecture, containerization, distributed systems, and API-first development using Azure cloud-native services. You will build production-grade services running on AKS, integrate data and AI pipelines, and ensure secure, observable, and highly available systems aligned with enterprise architecture standards. You’ll work at the intersection of IoT, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and AI, designing high-impact platforms, data pipelines, and APIs that bring real-time intelligence to connected industries. At ORBCOMM, you’ll collaborate with innovative engineers and product leaders to develop solutions that move from concept to scale quickly and securely, while helping define the architecture that drives our digital ecosystem forward. What You’ll Do Cloud-Native Application Development Design and build microservices using: .NET / Python / Node.js / Java Develop containerized workloads using Docker Deploy services to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Implement 12-factor application principles Build stateless and scalable services API-First & Integration Design Ensure Design RESTful and event-driven APIs Develop secure APIs behind: Azure API Management Implement OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication using Entra ID Build webhook-based and pub-sub integrations Integrate with external enterprise systems Event-Driven & Distributed Systems Build event-driven services using: Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus Implement asynchronous messaging patterns Design idempotent consumers Build retry, circuit breaker, and resilience mechanisms Data & Storage Engineering Integrate with: Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Blob, Storage, Mong DB Design schema for scalable NoSQL workloads Implement caching using Redis Optimize query performance and indexing strategies Kubernetes & Container Engineering Write Helm charts or K8 manifests Configure: Liveness/readiness probes, Horizontal Pod Autoscaling, Resource limits, Implement sidecars for logging and tracing, Design multi-environment deployment strategy. Observability & Reliability Integrate: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Distributed tracing, Implement structured logging, Define SLIs within services, Support production debugging and incident resolution. DevSecOps Integration Work with CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, Write unit and integration tests, Ensure code coverage standards,Implement secure coding practices, Integrate container image scanning.. AI & Modern Platform Integration Integrate Azure OpenAI APIs Build RAG-based pipelines Implement vector search Develop AI-enabled microservices KPIs for This Role Deployment frequency improvement Service response time and latency reduction API reliability and uptime Code quality and test coverage % Reduction in production defects Scalable architecture adoption Who You Are You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have 5+ years of software development experience 3+ years building applications on Azure Strong experience in: Microservices architecture, REST APIs, Docker & Kubernetes, Deep understanding of distributed systems Experience with event-driven design, Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Experience with AKS production workloads Knowledge of GitOps workflows Experience with Cosmos DB partitioning Familiarity with Azure Fabric Experience building AI-powered services Understanding of domain-driven design Target Azure Stack Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Azure API Management Azure Event Hub / Service Bus Azure Cosmos DB Azure PostgreSQL Azure Blob Storage Azure Monitor / App Insights Azure Key Vault MongoDB Azure DevOps/ GitHub Actions Then we want to meet you!
