The teams at Easterseals PORT Health care directly for our clients in the community, including visits to clients living in their own homes. What You’ll Do As a Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist in the Community Support Team (CST), you will provide services to individuals who have a mental health or substance use disorder and meet the two life domains. As a Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist, you will also conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments, use outreach and motivational interviewing techniques to work with individuals in earlier stages of change readiness, facilitate the Person-Centered Planning process, provide structured face-to-face interventions, and provide psychosocial rehabilitative interventions and case coordination. This full-time position offers a Monday- Friday flexible nontraditional schedule and will the serve the Statesville and surrounding areas. This position is community based. What We’re Looking For To join our team as a CST Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist you must be prepared to carry out a full range of treatment functions wherever and whenever needed in a community setting, be able to work independently, be adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis. Participation in the crisis phone rotation. We also require: Bachelo's degree or Master's degree A human services degree is preferred. Must be certified as a CCS, LCAS, LCASA, CSAC or CADC. Able to be credentialed as a Mental Health Qualified Professional Certification as a medical administrative technician or equivalent preferred.
