Commercial Asset Manager

Location: Amsterdam / Remote

Coopman Search & Selection is partnering with a leading aviation asset management and aftermarket platform to appoint a Commercial Asset Manager - Engines.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Engines team and play a key role across the commercial, technical, and portfolio management of a global engine portfolio. The successful candidate will support engine acquisitions, customer and lease management, technical asset oversight, and commercial initiatives designed to maximise asset performance and revenue.

Working closely with senior leadership, MRO, technical, and commercial teams, this role offers excellent exposure to engine leasing, MRO activity, engine trading, teardown, and aviation aftermarket markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the technical and commercial management of leased engine assets, monitoring utilisation, performance, records, and lease obligations.
• Maintain LLP tracking and lease-end forecasting to support portfolio planning and asset management decisions.
• Review technical records and component histories to support engine sales, leasing, and teardown activities.
• Monitor Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and relevant OEM, PMA, and DER developments.
• Support relationships with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and other strategic customers and suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue through customer engagement, market intelligence, and commercial initiatives.
• Work closely with the MRO team on engine shop visits, repairs, and vendor management.
• Support the evaluation and due diligence of potential engine acquisition opportunities.
• Assist with engine teardown and lease return inspections.
• Conduct market research and analysis to support commercial and portfolio decisions.
• Represent the business at industry events and customer or supplier meetings as required.

Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge and experience of aircraft engines / powerplants.
• Understanding of engine components, MRO processes, OEM requirements, and aviation aftermarket dynamics.
• Experience within engine leasing, asset management, MRO, aviation aftermarket, or a related technical/commercial environment.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Commercially minded with strong communication and relationship management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including approximately 25% travel.
