Our dynamic Florida-Georgia Regional team is looking for a Commercial Lines Underwriter to assist in the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers, through following sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy. The Underwriter will work with assigned agents in meeting profitability and production goals, by following guidelines and establishing business relationships, along with managing the pricing and underwriting of an assigned territory of business. Job level will be commensurate with appropriate commercial underwriting experience.
The ideal candidate will have commercial lines underwriting experience and strong agency relationships in Florida.
This position will work a hybrid schedule, in our office in Sarasota, FL or Lake Mary, FL office with the option of up to two days per week remote. Remote in Florida will be considered for candidates outside Sarasota area and Lake Mary.

The salary range for this position is $62,419-$96,126 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* Bachelors degree; NOTE: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
* Two or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience; job title/level commensurate with more years commercial P&C underwriting experience
* Thorough knowledge of P&C insurance forms and rating rules
* Solid working knowledge of underwriting and loss control principles
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
