Is this job info correct?

Commissioning Engineer About Echandia develops advanced battery systems for heavy-duty maritime applications, helping the shipping industry shift from fossil fuels to zero-emission electrification. As we grow, we're looking for a new Electrical Service and Commissioning Engineer to join our after-sales team. About the Role You will travel to customer sites — within and outside Europe — for system commissioning, service and warranty work, and occasional installation tasks. Between trips, you will be based at our Bromma office, where you focus on aftermarket work — investigating recurring issues, supporting customers remotely, and driving long-term solutions both internally and in the field. In practice, this job is demanding. Departures can happen on short notice when a vessel is down, stays on board can stretch from a few days to several weeks, and the work itself often takes place in tight engine rooms, on tight schedules, and under operational pressure. You are the person the crew is waiting for — and once you are on board, the problem is yours to solve. It is also a deeply rewarding role. You are welcomed as the expert, you see your work directly impact a vessel returning to service, and you represent Echandia in front of the customer. Few engineering jobs offer this combination of technical depth, autonomy, and visible impact. Key responsibilities • Plan and lead on-site installation of electrical systems • Execute commissioning, service, and troubleshooting • Participate in FAT and SAT • Provide technical support to partner companies • Review and provide input on system design • Support project management, purchasing, and sales with technical expertise Required Skills • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical commissioning, service, or maintenance • Post-secondary qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system designs • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including extended stays on vessels • Fluency in written and spoken English We are looking for You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy troubleshooting, and stay calm under tight deadlines. You work well independently and in a team, and you see the travel aspect as an opportunity rather than a burden. It is meritorious if you have Knowledge of PLC Knowledge of PROFINET, Modbus, or CAN Experience with EMC/EMI design and validation testing Experience with battery management or charging systems Experience with DC systems (24–1500 V) Familiarity with marine standards and regulations Experience from the maritime industry We Offer A rapidly growing scale-up, worldwide travel, real career development, and an attractive benefits package — and the chance to be part of a purpose-driven team making the marine industry cleaner and more efficient. Employment Type • Full-time, permanent position Department Operations Locations Stockholm Remote status Hybrid Stockholm Workplace & Culture Our company culture is defined by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, where we combine cutting-edge technology with a passion for sustainability and innovation. Our employees are driven by the opportunity to make a real impact in the maritime industry's transition to zero emissions, and our dynamic work environment provides both the freedom and responsibility to influence and grow. Here, you get to see ideas transform into finished products and be part of the entire process – from concept to delivery. We are a tight-knit team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong commitment to solving complex challenges together are at the core. Working here means constantly learning new things, handling tight deadlines, and making difficult decisions, but it is precisely these challenges that make our work so stimulating. With a mix of experienced and junior colleagues, we create a learning environment where everyone can grow, contribute, and take ownership of their work – and that is exactly what makes Echandia a unique and inspiring workplace. About Echandia Marine Echandia is a leading supplier of advanced maritime battery systems, delivering safe and resilient energy solutions for demanding vessel operations. Designed in Scandinavia and built on proven LTO technology, our systems offer fast charging, smooth zero-emission performance, and long service life in demanding marine environments. By reducing fuel consumption and lowering operating costs, our solutions support both sustainable shipping and long-term economic efficiency, helping accelerate the maritime industry’s transition toward zero-emission operations.
