Role Description This is a full-time, remote Commodity Broker (Pure Commission) role focused on originating, brokering, and closing commodity transactions across the sectors served by Axis Sourcing LLC. The Commodity Broker will proactively source buyers and sellers, negotiate pricing and terms, and structure deals that align with market conditions and client risk profiles. Daily activities include monitoring global commodity markets, identifying trading opportunities, coordinating documentation and logistics with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely settlement. The role involves maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects, building long-term relationships with principal buyers and suppliers, and collaborating with the internal desk on risk management, hedging strategies, and trade execution. This position is commission-based, requiring strong self-motivation, disciplined follow-through, and a results-oriented approach.
Qualifications

• Strong understanding of commodity markets, including pricing dynamics and global supply-demand drivers (Commodity Markets, Trading).
• Proficiency in assessing and managing exposure across physical and financial positions (Commodity Risk Management, Hedging).
• Demonstrated experience in brokerage activities, including deal origination, negotiation, and closing (Brokerage, Trading).
• Ability to interpret market data, economic trends, and industry reports to identify trading and sourcing opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders across regions.
• High level of integrity, professional ethics, and compliance mindset in handling contracts, documentation, and settlements.
• Comfort working in a fully remote, commission-based environment with strong self-management and time-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in commodities (e.g., timber, panels, bioenergy, metals, grain, or related sectors) is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with trading platforms, CRM tools, and standard office software to manage pipelines, documentation, and reporting.
