CommodityAfrik is a new commodities sourcing and market-development business being established to connect credible African producers and suppliers with qualified international market opportunities.
Our target markets include Malaysia, ASEAN, the Middle East and Europe, with a focus on developing transparent, compliant and sustainable commodity supply relationships.
The Role
We are seeking a Commodity Sourcing & Business Development Executive for immediate employment commencing 1 September 2026.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to identify and develop relationships with credible miners, producers, farmers, processors and authorized commodity suppliers seeking international buyers, export markets and long-term offtake opportunities.
The role will focus primarily on South Africa and the wider Southern African region, while CommodityAfrik develops the international market side of qualified opportunities.

* Gold and other precious metals
* Silver
* Diamonds
* Gemstones
* Agricultural commodities and food products
* Grains and cereals
* Pulses and oilseeds
* Coffee, tea, spices and related agricultural products
* Processed and unprocessed agricultural products
* Commercial water and water-related supply opportunities, where legally and commercially applicable
* Other legally tradable minerals, metals and commodities with demonstrated international demand
Key Responsibilities
* Identify legitimate commodity producers and authorized sellers across South Africa and Southern Africa
* Develop direct relationships with mines, producers, farmers, cooperatives, processors and established suppliers
* Establish commodity availability, quantity, quality/specifications, location and supply capacity
* Obtain preliminary supplier and product documentation
* Identify producers seeking international buyers, export markets and potential offtake relationships
* Present qualified opportunities to CommodityAfrik management for further assessment
* Coordinate introductions and preliminary commercial discussions
* Support the development of long-term supplier and offtake relationships
* Maintain accurate records of prospective suppliers and commodity opportunities
* Support CommodityAfrik’s international market-development activities
Candidate Profile
Applicants should ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
* Mining and minerals
* Commodity sourcing
* Agriculture and agribusiness
* International trade
* Procurement and supply-chain development
* Commodity marketing
* Business development
Existing professional relationships with mine owners, mineral producers, farmers, cooperatives, commodity processors and authorized suppliers will be a strong advantage.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent professional communication, relationship-management and business-development capabilities and be able to work independently in a remote environment.
