Avid Core is seeking a Communications Specialist to support a federal contract focused on real estate acquisition for large infrastructure projects in the Washington, D.C. area. This role will support landowner outreach, communications development, and project coordination efforts, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and effective engagement. Overall Responsibilities: Support the development of landowner outreach material to support infrastructure projects Develop and distribute communications, mailings, and outreach materials Manage and track outreach and engagement activities and data, including all communications and responses Ensure all project data is entered into project tracking tools Support planning and execution of large infrastructure projects Support programs and processes, identify existing or potential problems, resolve and remedy circumstances before problems occur, and modify processes to improve products, procedures, and programs Support and maintain real estate landowner outreach schedule for multiple large infrastructure projects, to include key milestone dates, deadlines, meetings, discussions, etc. Maintain a list of tracked action items and assist with the closure of those items Maintain project documentation files and track points of contact and key activities Develop weekly and monthly progress reports detailing key project activities Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Skills: 2–4 years of experience in communications, public outreach, project coordination, or related fields Experience supporting federal, state, or local government projects preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting outreach materials and correspondence Experience managing data, trackers, or communication logs with high attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Experience supporting infrastructure, real estate, or land acquisition projects is a plus Ability to obtain public trust clearance We’re looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines Professional and confident interacting with stakeholders, including landowners and project teams Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable Able to work both independently and collaboratively Strong communicator with a customer-service mindset Reliable, responsive, and accountable Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
