Community Associate Join Founders Pledge as Community Associate to coordinate events, support member relationships, and improve the systems powering a global community of strategic philanthropists. Apply Now About us At Founders Pledge, our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good with their charitable giving. Since launching in 2015, our community of over 2,300 members has pledged nearly $13.6B and donated $1.9B+ to the charitable sector in 45+ countries. We provide end-to-end giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a global network of experts. In other words, we help tech leaders become strategic philanthropists. Our members include founders and leaders behind companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber. We focus on deploying capital where it can achieve the greatest impact, guided by evidence, careful analysis, and long-term thinking. Salary: Up to $80,000 depending on experience About the role Founders Pledge's community has grown nearly 40% over the past few years, and our most engaged members now number in the hundreds. As we grow, we need excellent operational support behind the relationships we build with our members. As Community Associate, you'll provide the administrative and operational backbone for our Community team, reporting to the Head of Community and working closely with our Community Managers day-to-day. Our Community Managers own their member relationships; you'll help make those relationships run smoothly by owning much of the coordination and execution around them - from event logistics and member correspondence to research, monitoring and cross-team projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting the details right, keeping multiple moving pieces organized, and finding better ways for a team to work. Alongside the day-to-day administration, you'll have opportunities to own projects and improve the processes that underpin our member experience. What You'll Do: Event Coordination: Manage invite sequences and follow-up communications for Community events, and keep attendee tracking accurate and up-to-date. Member Correspondence: Own routine member inquiries and requests, using approved templates where appropriate and ensuring members receive timely, accurate responses. Member Monitoring: Regularly track news and updates about member companies, flagging relevant developments to CMs so they can identify timely opportunities for outreach. Team Project Support: Project-manage cross-team initiatives on behalf of the Community team. Process Improvement: Take on smaller projects that improve how the team works, from systematizing attendee bios, to integrating approved AI tools into CM workflows. What We're Looking For: You’ll have: Communication Skills: You write and speak clearly, and you're comfortable liaising across teams and functions. Attention to Detail: You catch the small things others miss, and you take pride in accuracy. Organization: You can juggle multiple ongoing projects and requests without losing track of any of them. Administrative Experience: You've worked in a role that required strong process management, coordination, or operational support. Adaptability: You're comfortable stepping into a range of tasks, from research to project coordination, as team needs evolve. Nice to haves: CRM Experience: Experience with data input in a CRM system is a plus, though not required. Philanthropy or Community Experience: Experience in philanthropy, membership organizations, or community management is a plus, though not required. If you're excited about our mission but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Location & Travel Requirements This role is based in New York, with an expectation of one day per week in our office in Union Square (or more if you wish!) All staff will attend team offsites once per year (or more), and all staff attend an annual global offsite. Application Deadline Applications will be accepted until EOD 14th September. Why work with us? This is a great entry point into the effective giving space - you'll get exposure to the full operations of a high-growth philanthropic community, working alongside a team that's actively shaping how strategic philanthropy scales. We're a diverse team, from both charitable and commercial backgrounds, who believe remarkable things happen when people tackle hard problems together. We offer real ownership, a flat structure, and the chance to help shape the future of strategic philanthropy. Find out more about our culture and benefits here. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Finding solutions to the world's most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking, and we are committed to building a workplace where everyone can do their best work. If you're excited about our mission but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Department Member Experience Locations New York Remote status Hybrid Yearly salary $80,000
