The Role About the Role Kyndryl is actively expanding its global Complex Program Manager organization and is seeking experienced leaders who can drive large-scale, mission-critical technology transformation programs. This is not a traditional project management role , and “Complex” is not about project size. It represents the ability to successfully lead programs involving executive stakeholders, global delivery organizations, multiple vendors, diverse technology domains, and significant business and commercial complexity. We are seeking leaders who can navigate ambiguity, align diverse stakeholders, orchestrate global delivery organizations, and drive transformational outcomes in some of the most complex technology environments in the industry. As a Complex Program Manager, you will lead large and highly complex transformation programs for some of Japan's leading Financial Services, Insurance, and Manufacturing organizations. You will serve as the central leader across customers, executives, global delivery teams, and project organizations, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, schedule, quality, risk, and financial performance. Projects may involve teams ranging from dozens to over 300 professionals and span multiple domains including Infrastructure, Cloud, Applications, Digital Workplace, Security, and Enterprise Transformation. Develop World-Class Program Leadership Capabilities Strengthen your expertise in: Program Governance Financial Management Risk Management Executive Stakeholder Management Enterprise Transformation Delivery Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Lead large-scale transformation programs and complex projects Define program vision, objectives, roadmaps, and success measures Manage multiple interconnected projects and workstreams Drive delivery performance across program scope, schedule, and resources Governance & Risk Management Establish and operate program governance frameworks Lead steering committees and executive reviews Identify and mitigate cross-project risks and issues Drive escalations and key decision-making processes Stakeholder Management Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders Align business objectives with delivery execution Ensure transparency and accountability across teams Financial Management Manage budgets, forecasts, and program profitability Monitor financial performance and delivery commitments Team Leadership Lead large multidisciplinary teams Coach and support project managers Coordinate global and offshore delivery teams Work Style Hybrid working model Tokyo (Roppongi) office base Customer visits approximately 1–2 times per week Remote work available Domestic travel depending on project requirements Who You Are Required Qualifications Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects or programs, with project delivery experience in at least one of the following industries: Financial Services, Insurance, or Manufacturing. Experience managing multiple workstreams and project interdependencies Strong program governance, delivery, and risk management capabilities Experience managing financial performance and delivery outcomes Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience working with global teams Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English ​​ Preferred Qualifications Financial Services, Insurance, or Manufacturing industry experience Infrastructure or Cloud Transformation experience Managed Services Transition experience Global Delivery or Offshore Management experience PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications Being You The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
