About the Position: The Compliance and Ethics Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis and providing strategic recommendations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and enhance processes across the Company. You’ll grow your career while helping others grow theirs! What You’ll Do: Conduct research on human resources and employment policies, regulations, and laws at the local, state, and federal levels. Analyze data to support the development, revision, and enforcement of company policies in compliance with legal and industry standards. Develop actionable solutions consistent with current federal, state and local laws, industry regulations, and company policies. Prepare detailed memos outlining policy updates and their implications for internal stakeholders. Maintain the company’s document and policy management system, overseeing the lifecycle of policies from creation through implementation, and ensuring follow-up as necessary. Draft new policies and update existing ones, aligning them with evolving regulatory requirements and organizational needs. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with implemented policies and procedures. Compile and analyze data for departmental reporting, including metrics for the Company’s compliance reports, and program/policy participation analysis. Actively participate in meetings to provide insights on compliance matters and contribute to decision-making processes. Engage in special departmental projects as assigned. What You’ll Bring : One year of experience researching and summarizing complex information; experience researching HR-related laws is preferred. Coursework in research methods. Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job’s impact to the organization. Obtain facts and data pertaining to an issue or question. Understand, interpret, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Focus on the details of work content, work steps, and final work products. Proactively obtain and share information tailored to the audience. Communicate effectively in writing.
