We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join Re-turn’s Regulatory team in a newly created senior leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and strengthen the compliance framework supporting Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme. Reporting to the Chief Regulatory Officer, the Compliance Manager will provide oversight, coordination and professional senior leadership across fraud and enforcement, quality and audit, and accessibility. The role will ensure that compliance activity is well planned, consistently delivered, clearly documented and effectively reported, while supporting the CRO with timely insight, high-quality outputs and strong cross-functional governance. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight across Re-turn’s compliance activities, including fraud and enforcement, quality and audit, and accessibility. Provide senior leadership representation across internal and external forums when required , ensuring continuity of leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement. Support the delivery of structured, well-documented and consistently applied compliance processes, procedures and reporting frameworks. S upport escalation of enforcement activity with relevant external authorities, including WERLAs and An Garda Síochána, where appropriate . Review and quality-assure reports, investigation documentation, audit findings, dashboards and governance submissions before escalation to senior stakeholders. Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of compliance-related policies, frameworks, annual plans and operating procedures. Monitor performance, capacity, risk indicators and programme milestones, identifying emerging issues and driving timely follow-up. Prepare clear briefings, reports and papers for executive, Board and committee audiences, drawing on outputs from across the compliance function. Experienced in a senior compliance, regulatory, audit, enforcement or governance role, ideally within a regulated or scheme-based environment. Confident managing multiple workstreams, specialist functions or programmes simultaneously, with strong planning and delivery discipline. Able to bring structure, clarity and consistency to complex operational or regulatory environments. Knowledge of fraud prevention, investigations, quality management systems, audit, accessibility or risk frameworks would be an advantage. A strong communicator with the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports, briefings, procedures and governance papers. Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
