Job Description Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu) Role Overview Represent purchasing activities within the program team and represent the program team within Purchasing. Build and lead an effective team of buyers and planners for Project Purchasing and Launch Leadership. Partner with Program Managers to represent Purchasing and communicate program requirements and the vehicle line overview. Responsibilities Represent purchasing activities within the program team and represent the program team within Purchasing. Build and lead an effective team of buyers and planners for Project Purchasing and Launch Leadership. Partner with Program Managers to represent Purchasing and communicate program requirements and the vehicle line overview. Mandatory Competencies Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments, both internally and externally, while building strong relationships. Experience with commodities such as metals, stamped parts, castings, plastics, resins, paints, and electronics. Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and evaluating supplier performance. Proven negotiation skills. Professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Advanced English proficiency. Desirable Competencies Experience in the automotive industry. Knowledge of procurement software. Knowledge of materials management. Ability to interpret market data. Ability to read drawings and understand basic engineering documents. Strong knowledge of contract law and its application to purchasing processes. Spanish proficiency.
