ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS TEAM Our "Schools" team has three sub-teams: Account Executives (new business sales) - They bring Albert to new school customers and find opportunities for customer expansions. They are measured by how much new business they win in a year. Account Managers (renewal sales) - They work with school administrators to renew customer contracts, plan implementations, and conduct data-driven check-ins. They are measured by annual customer retention. Adoption Managers - They work with teachers to support their day-to-day use of Albert and deliver professional development training. They are measured by license utilization and teacher engagement. These sub-teams work closely together to provide an exceptional experience for school administrators and teachers. We also have a team called Revenue Operations , which focuses on back office support like purchase order processing, billing, check processes, travel logistics, sales tax, compliance, vendor contracts, and more. THE ROLE As a Conferences Manager , you will lead Albert’s presence at K-12 conferences across the country. You will staff our booth, run conversations with school and district administrators on the show floor, and own the follow-up on every lead you generate until it is qualified and ready to hand off to an Account Executive. You will partner with our Revenue Operations team on conference logistics, from booth materials and travel to event selection and setup. You will earn a 10% commission on any new business deal won from a conference lead you sourced, so the quality of your conversations on the floor and the speed and quality of your follow-ups directly shape your earnings. This role is heavily travel-based and the CBDR can expect to travel 50-80% of the time, with a high degree of variability throughout the year: some weeks or months may have no travel, while others may have intense travel demands. We have a small Sales team. You will be a team of one, working with two AE’s. Thus, this role requires a high degree of initiative, good judgment, ownership, and thriving in ambiguity. You will have management support, but no one else doing the same role. In a typical day, you can expect to do things like: ● Maintaining your pipeline of conference leads; following up with current opportunities (including calling) to set up meetings for AE’s. ● Keeping updated notes and clean deal data in the CRM. ● Attending and planning conferences and trade shows within your territory which will include traveling to/from, coordinating logistics, marketing materials, pre-conference campaigns, and booth set-up. ● Researching and selecting future conferences, including booth and package selection and working within an annual conferences budget. ● Supporting the Sales and Revenue operations teams with AI workflows and revenue asset maintenance. IMPORTANT: We are a fully-remote company with no central office. However, given the heavy travel required of this role, you must live within 30 minutes driving distance to the following airports: ORD, DIA, HOU, DFW, or ATL. If you do not, or are not willing to relocate, you are ineligible for this role. BENEFITS ● Competitive compensation. We observe the same pay bands, regardless of where you live. For this role, our starting salary is $80,000-100,000 , plus commissions and travel stipends. ● Health, dental, and vision insurance. We contribute 90% of the cost for our various medical insurance options and 90% for vision and dental. We contribute 50% for dependents. ● Paid parental leave. Parents are eligible for up to twelve (12) weeks of fully paid parental leave after a year of service. ● A 401k plan. Save for retirement with a fully managed plan and a 1% match. ● Commuter benefit. Use pre-tax earnings on your commute through our managed platform. ● One Medical. We cover enrollment in One Medical to provide all employees with convenient access to primary care. ● Flexible Spending Account and Dependent FSA. Set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible medical expenses and the costs of caring for dependents. ● Flexible, guilt-free vacation. Take guilt-free vacations with no hard limit. Most people take 3-4 weeks per year and are encouraged to take time off. This is not a vague policy where "unlimited" ends up meaning "hardly ever, it's too stressful to ask for time off". We actively encourage everyone to take off. ● Half-day Fridays. We value work-life balance and observe half-day Fridays every week. ABOUT THE COMPANY Since 2014, Albert has been powering feedback loops for students and teachers to improve educational outcomes. We do this by providing students with engaging, thought-provoking questions and feedback and teachers with actionable data and flexible instructional tools. We believe we can make the biggest impact by working through teachers, equipping them with the highest quality practice and assessment content possible. At Albert, we don’t stop at creating a great product. We also obsess about providing delightful support, delivering impactful teacher training, and forging long-term relationships with our school partners. All of this starts with our culture. We stress freedom of opinion, think long-term, and empower people with autonomy and responsibility. We believe we do our best work when there are high levels of psychological safety, accountability, and a shared commitment to high standards. INCLUSION AT ALBERT Albert is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. As we continue to grow, we do so with a focus on building teams representing the different cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences of our users, students, and the world. We simultaneously strive to create spaces promoting personal growth, diversity, and inclusion. ● Experience. 1+ years experience in sales or account management in a comparable role required , and a minimum of two years of teaching experience with strong examples of ed-tech integration. ● Alignment. You want to be an evangelist and bring Albert to as many students as possible through sales. Ideally, you have used Albert in your own classroom and can share specific experiences around it. ● Exceptional communication skills. You are a good listener, articulate, and highly persuasive; you skillfully leverage data from multiple sources and use context to create compelling narratives. ● Composure under pressure. You do not get rattled easily and can quickly adapt; you can focus and prioritize in stressful situations. ● Relentlessness. You challenge yourself with ambitious goals and draw upon your high level of grit to achieve long-term success. ● Attention to detail and discipline. You pride yourself on maintaining good habits and getting the little things right. ● A great teammate. You are excited to support your teammates, assume best-intent, and push the team to succeed together.
